Vhost
From Afterxwiki
A vhost is short for "virtual host". This allows someone to have a host other than the true host or the masked true host.
A host will looks like:
|WHOIS| Sterri is who@lon-5-56.ukonline.co.uk * Kyle
A masked host will look like, and is set default to all users except when they have a vhost:
|WHOIS| Sterri is who@afterx-23098.ukonline.co.uk * Kyle
A virutal host will look like:
|WHOIS| Sterri is who@are.you * Kyle
You can request a vhost in #vhost from an Operator. The only rule is that we do not allow TLD (top-level domain) in it. This means visit.my.site.at.4x4jamboree.co.uk is not allowed, but you can have visit.my.site.at.4x4jamboree for example.
When an Operator enables a vhost on you, all you have to do is identify to NickServ to activate it each time you connect to AfterX.
