Network Chair

From Afterxwiki

The network chair, currently MiNdErAsR, is responsible for overseeing the direction of the network, and to ensure the AfterX Charter is being followed. Whilst we call the head of our network a chair, they are more commonly referred to as a net-admin on other IRC networks and it is more or less the same role.

The chair is democratically elected by Net-Com and does not have an end term, but renewals are on a yearly basis. Net-Com can call a vote of no-confidence if they feel the need for this, or the chair can resign, for whatever reasons.

The chair can override any Net-Com vote in exceptional and very rare circumstances if he or she feels it's against the AfterX Charter and the spirit of AfterX.

He/she cannot vote normally in Net-Com matters or influence its outcome - he/she must act a guide or to move things on.

A net-chair can be a user or any of the staff, and is nominated by any of the voting admins or co-admins on Net-Com, then after one week of nominations, a vote is made - only one vote can be casted to approve the person to be chair. The chair has no say in any matter concerning him/herself.
