From Afterxwiki
If you are banned from the network, you may have been banned for a number of reasons, including a false positive run by our bots such as Defender.
You may have breached our rules, and/or the AfterX Charter - however, often a kill is issued when this happens, rather than a ban.
Below is for any users who might have been wrongly banned from the AfterX.net IRC network - as copied from the http://forums.afterx.net/ website - see http://forums.afterx.net/viewtopic.php?t=438 for actual post.
Four things why you may have been "wrongly" banned:
1) You might have been banned correctly, but you have been infected with a virus which send out spams to other people on IRC without your knowledge.
In this case, you need to check your computer for viruses and trojans, the link below is especially designed for mIRC related viruses/trojans.

If you are clear, it is also worth scanning your entire system with your standard anti-virus software using the up-to-date definitions. If you do not have an anti-virus software, get one free from:
http://www.grisoft.com/us/us_dwnl_free.php
Once your computer is clear, see step 4 below.
2) You are on the same network (eg, net cafe/LAN) as the infected computer, and you have been banned with that user. If this is the case, advise your cafe admin to check for viruses. If he is not going to bother, advise him he will risk having his business banned from this IRC network (and possibly others too).
3) You pasted someone's spam in a public channel or by private message to the bots. At the moment, the bots are too dumb to recognise pastes. Even so, you should NEVER paste a spam message in a channel - it defeats the point and you're helping to spread the spam!
4) Genuine false-alarm. See below:
We operate a number of automatic bots and scripts to reduce spams, trojans, viruses and other nasties on AfterX.net, in order to protect you from these, and also to make your stay on AfterX.net more enjoyable. One such device is Defender.
Unfortunately, as there is no human sanity check when the scripts and bots do something, there may be a rare false-positive, resulting in an innocent user from being banned from AfterX.net IRC network by mistake.
This allows you to get help in removing a ban on you - to do that, please ensure you provide the following information on http://forums.afterx.net/:
1) Your nickname at the time you were banned.
2) Your IP address or part of it, if you know it (you can find out what your IP is here) - this can either be the AfterX.net masked address or the real one - remember you are posting on a public message board!
3) The ENTIRE ban message that you received - including any reference number, times and reason.
The third option (3) is the most important, as it helps us locate the ban and remove it, and also to review why you were banned by mistake to hopefully reduce or stop this mistake!
Thanks for your patience and for flying AfterX!
