Below you will find a list of official channels on this network. These are channels that are recognized as either network channels or channels that go above and beyond to help our users.

#AfterX

#AfterX is the main official channel of the network. It belongs to net-com and the channel rules are decided by this committee.

Like all official AfterX channels, it is multi-lingual - users can talk in their own language as long they are not insulting other people or committing a crime (or any other breach of the rules and charter).

This particular channel can have strong and potentially offensive adult humor, and a strong steer to sarcasm. If you don't like it, then you probably won't like IRC anyway.

It is not a help channel, although some staff may offer help to those that ask it. The best place for help is #AfterX-Help.

#AfterX-Help

#AfterX-Help is the main official help channel of the network. It belongs to net-com and the channel rules are:

1). No Chatting

2). Like all official AfterX channels, it is multi-lingual - users can talk in their own language as long they are not insulting other people or committing a crime, but most of our staff speak english.

3). The rest per Charter and rules.

#User-Com

#User-Com is the official User Committee channel. For more information on this committee, feel free to visit the User-Com section of the site.

#Web-Com

#Web-Com is the official Web Committee channel. For more information on this committee, feel free to visit the Web-Com section of the site.

#vhost

This is where you request a Vhost. A vhost is short for "virtual host". This allows someone to have a host other than the true host or the masked true host. Remember Vhosts cannot have a Top Level Domain (TLD) such as .co.uk, .com, .net. org, .nl, .com.au, .tr - for example: mircosft.com is not allowed but microsft.works is allowed.

Rules are:

1) No chatting

2) No idling

3) No asking for help - use #AfterX-Help

4) Multi-language permissed (but most of our staff only know English, so this can be a limitation)

5) The rest as per Charter and rules.

A host looks like:
|WHOIS| Sterri is who@lon-5-56.ukonline.co.uk * Kyle
A masked host looks like:
|WHOIS| Sterri is who@afterx-23098.ukonline.co.uk * Kyle
This is set default to all users upon joining our network, except when they have a vhost and they have identified to NickServ.
A virutal host looks like:
|WHOIS| Sterri is who@are.you * Kyle
When an Operator enables a vhost on you, all you have to do is identify to NickServ to activate it each time you connect to AfterX.
